About Us/BioAttorneys Doug Haas and Mary Lou McLennan along with their professional staff have been serving the Wheaton area and the western suburbs of Chicago for over 20 years. They are well respected and have a reputation for being professional, hardworking and accessible to their clients. Their areas of expertise include Family Law, Real Estate and Estate Planning.
BIO: Douglas L. Haas
Doug was born and raised in Chicago and received a Bachelor of Science degree in 1969 from Southern Illinois University with a major in Business Administration and a minor in Economics.He went on to attain his law degree from Northern Illinois University College of Law in Dekalb, Illinois in 1979 and graduated Cum Laude.
He has been a partner at Haas and McLennan since 1979, and was the Regional Personnel Director for a large multi-line insurer from 1969 to 1979.

BIO: Mary Lou McLennan
Mary Lou is from Chicago and graduated Cum Laude in 1967 from Marquette University in Milwaukee, Wisconsin with a Bachelor of Arts degree in History and a minor in Political Science and Secondary Education.She received her Law degree in 1980 from Northern Illinois University College of Law in Dekalb, Illinois, graduating Magna Cum Laude, and was the recipient of many honors and awards including: Casenotes Editor of the Law Review, Corpus Juris Secundum Awards in Criminal Law, Equity, Conflict of Laws and Federal Procedure.
Mary Lou has also been involved with Gamma Pi Epsilon, National Jesuit Honor Society for Women, Phi Alpha Theta, National Honorary History Society, and was named an Outstanding Women Student, Northern Illinois University College of Law.
Mary Lou taught History at William Fremd High School in Palatine, Illinois from 1967 to 1968 and has been a partner at Haas and McLennan since 1980 where she specializes in Real Estate Law, Estate Planning and Probate. She is a member of the Illinois State Bar Association, the DuPage County Bar Association, the Justinian Society of Lawyers and is past president of the DuPage Association of Women Lawyers. Mary Lou also serves on the Boards of Directors for Wyndemere Retirement Home and Wynscape Nursing and Rehabilitation Center.
She and her husband are the parents of ten children and live in Glen Ellyn.
